Summary

The in vivo uptake of 67Ga-citrate by staphylococcal abscesses in rats has been studied. The high accumulation of calcium and magnesium in the abscess and in the surrounding tissues appears to be responsible for the accumulation of ⁶⁷Ga. The role of the mast cells in the inflammatory process which leads to a calcification (calciphylaxis) is discussed and related to their possible involvement in the case of tumor transplants.

Die in-vivo-Aufnahme von ⁶⁷ Ga-Zitrat in Staphylokokken-Abszessen bei Ratten wurde untersucht. Die hohe Anreicherung von Kalzium und Magnesium in dem Abszeß und in den umgebenden Geweben scheint für die Anreicherung von ⁶⁷Ga verantwortlich zu sein. Die Rolle der Mastzellen in dem Entzündungsprozeß, der zur Ratifizierung (Kalziphylaxie) führt , wird diskutiert und mit ihrer möglichen Beteiligung im Falle von Tumortransplantaten in Beziehung gebracht.
